Elie Jolliet studied organ, choral conducting, church music, and historical keyboard instruments in Bern and Lausanne. He currently works as a church musician in the Reformed parishes of Köniz (director of the ThomasChor Köniz since 2020), Hasle near Burgdorf (director of the church choir since 2022), and Muri-Gümligen (organist since 2023), and performs as a soloist, chamber musician, and choirmaster.
In addition to his musical practice, he is academically engaged in church music and serves on various international church music committees. As part of his PhD thesis at the University of Bern, he is researching Bernese hymnals from the 17th to 19th centuries.
