Scholarships

Four scholarships will be awarded to enable young researchers to participate in the conference. These include exemption from the conference fee and a grant of €200.

  • To be eligible for selection, you should either be a university student at Master’s or doctoral level or a post-doctoral researcher or under 35 years of age.
  • Applicants will be assessed on their contribution to hymnological research and the relevance of the research area to the current conference theme
  • Applicants are required to submit an application with supporting documents including: a 300-word abstract describing the topic you wish to present at the conference; a letter of support from your university; evidence of financial hardship, if applicable.
  • Requisite to receiving the grant is the presentation of a sectional paper during the conference and to publish a written report of this presentation in the IAH Bulletin.

Please send your application to the IAH Secretariat by 31 May 2026. The IAH Board will then decide on the allocation. You will then be notified of the decision by 8 June 2026 at the latest.
